MonsterI paced down the murky corridor, my hands which brushed the walls came off damp but burning like acid. It smelt revolting, as though corpses were being left to rot. A bitter musk scalded my throat. My flashlight flickered, illuminating an ugly cavern pilled high with bones and rotting flesh; some scorched, some chewed apart. Something heaved in the corner, spewing up a dark purple liquid which singed the creature's skin and the ground around it. The skin from where the liquid touched was peeling and dripping sickly pus. The creature's fur was dirty and moulting; clumps falling out and revealing the soft pink hide beneath it.

HelicaseHelio and I were always sitting on the stairs, chatting about the lamina and occasionally making snide remarks about ribosomes. There wasn't much for us to do.
